1. Childhood & Mainstream Education

Apoorv Om was born deaf into a world completely devoid of sound. At a time when inclusive educational settings were scarce, he studied in a regular school from kindergarten through 12th standard. He was the only deaf student in a classroom of 40 hearing peers.

Without hearing a single spoken word or sound, Apoorv successfully completed his secondary schooling through visual concentration, determination, and relentless practice — shattering common preconceptions about the limitations of deaf children.

2. IIT-JEE Main Success & Yoga Science

In 2015, Apoorv secured rank 77 in his category in the IIT-JEE Main examination. After facing an admission barrier, he gained admission to the School of Planning and Architecture following legal intervention.

Alongside academic pursuits, he immersed himself in Yoga Science, completing two professional certificate courses. He demonstrated extraordinary physical and mental discipline by setting both the Harvard World Record and the HMI World Record for performing 108 continuous Surya Namaskars.

3. Art: A Divine Universal Language

Never having attended any art school or studied under any teacher, Apoorv’s artistic ability is a natural gift. He pioneered a distinct technique: creating mixed-media portraits of world dignitaries combined with precision architectural drawings of the institutions they lead.

His artistic practice opened doors to global governance, earning personal praise from UN Secretary-Generals Ban Ki-moon and Kofi Annan and the President and Prime Minister of India. He has met 200+ different leaders, including 11 Chief Justices in total, of whom 4 are abroad.

4. The Vision for Digital Inclusion

Apoorv’s ultimate mission is universal digital accessibility. Through the Apoorv Om Artist Trust, he advocates for voice-to-text integration in schools, courts, and airports, enabling the deaf to participate equally without barriers.
